With the 2019-2020 offseason now upon us, it’s time for the most fun part of the winter as a baseball fan: making predictions that will overwhelmingly be incorrect!
It’s impossible to know for sure what’s going on in the minds of these players, their families, and the team executives tasked with acquiring them throughout the next four months. However, because this is still a fun exercise to me, I’ve predicted where I think the top 50 players of this year’s free-agent class will land.
I considered positional need, payroll, history of team signings and player hometowns in my educated guesses. As the offseason chugs along, I’ll be adding writing articles explaining particularly interesting fits among this list.
